I take a holistic approach to education, recognizing that academic success is just one aspect of a fulfilling life. I work closely with families of children with challenging needs to identify their goals and aspirations, and to develop the skills and mindset needed to achieve them.
I have taught young children with special needs in both the public and private school settings for the past 30 years. I have trained many new teachers, assessed children, helped parents develop goals for their children, and helped parents and other support staff learn how to manage challenging behavior so that children can learn and develop the skills they need.
Two of my children have speech delays and learning disabilities and all three have Individual Education Plans. As a parent, I understand how confusing the IEP process can be and I am here to assist parents with navigating the challenges and frustrations that can be present. I am excited to open my own business where I can use the skills and knowledge that I have to help better the lives of families with nuero-diverse children.
